Why a Great Haircut Is More Than Just Copying a Photo
Kazu manager. (Giám đốc)

Many clients bring a photo of a hairstyle they like.

Reference photos are very useful because they help the barber understand the image, length, and overall style the client wants.

But a great haircut is not simply about copying the photo exactly.

Every person has different hair texture, density, growth direction, head shape, and face shape.

Because of these differences, the same haircut may need to be adjusted to suit each individual.

For example, the length on the sides, the amount of volume on top, or the balance around the back of the head may need to change.

Sometimes keeping a little more length creates a better shape. In other cases, removing weight makes the hairstyle cleaner and easier to manage.

After 19 years as a barber, I have learned that the most important skill is not just reproducing a hairstyle.

It is understanding why that hairstyle looks good and knowing how to adapt it to the person sitting in front of you.

A reference photo is the starting point.

The final goal is to create a haircut that looks natural, feels comfortable, is easy to style, and suits the client’s lifestyle.

A great haircut should not look like someone else’s haircut.

It should look like it belongs to you.
