Explaining a Haircut in English Without Knowing the Style Name
Ryunosuke Kano

You do not need a trend name to describe the haircut you want. Start with three practical details: how much forehead should show, how close the sides should be, and what you can manage when styling at home.

A photograph can support those descriptions, but point out which parts you want copied. At HIROGINZA Sydney, simple words and clear references are useful in either English or Japanese. Saying what must remain, such as enough length to sweep the front back, is just as helpful as saying what should be removed.
