Business Haircut Sydney CBD: Avoiding a Strong Parting From Repeated Combing
Rika Kano

Repeatedly combing through the same line can make a parting appear more deliberate than you intended. If you prefer a subtle division, tell your barber how you normally place the comb and ask what changes the visual strength of the line.

A practical question to answer before the service

Watch a softer finishing movement and compare it with the more defined version. You may still want the hair directed consistently while keeping the line less obvious. At home, make one considered adjustment before repeating the stroke. For a business haircut, this gives you a practical way to control the impression of the finish without changing the whole style. It also creates specific feedback about combing rather than a vague complaint that the haircut looks too formal.

Bring one or two reference photos and explain what is difficult on a normal workday: straight hair that does not move, sides that expand, a flat top, a fringe that will not flow, or a routine that takes too long. A useful consultation connects the visible shape to the time, tools and products you actually use.

Service and booking guide

The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit price of AUD120. It includes consultation, haircut, shampoo and scalp cleanse, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Haircut pricing does not change by hairstyle; detailed clipper line art may cost extra. If straight, coarse or dense hair resists movement or pushes out at the sides, ask whether an iron perm or another Japanese men's perm approach is suitable. Perm services start from AUD250 including haircut and shaving, with a 60-minute booking guide. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair. Technique and current availability must be confirmed at consultation.

For a Sydney CBD appointment, allow enough time to reach Suite 5 on Level 1 of the Dymocks Building, 428 George Street. The location is convenient for people planning a visit around Town Hall, George Street or the central business district, but use the complete suite and floor details rather than relying only on a “near me” result.
