Business Haircut Sydney CBD: Letting a Comb Release the Hair at the Right Point
Ryunosuke Kano

When combing, the point at which you lift the tool away changes the finish. Dragging it through the entire section may create a different arrangement from releasing the hair partway through. Ask your barber to show the action that suits your business haircut.

A practical question to answer before the service

Watch one slow pass, then notice the position of the hair after the comb has left it. You are learning a specific movement rather than trying to make every section identical. At home, practise that release before adding more product for hold. If the result still differs, explain where your comb leaves the hair and what happens afterwards. That detail gives the barber something practical to correct in the demonstration.

Bring one or two reference photos and explain what is difficult on a normal workday: straight hair that does not move, sides that expand, a flat top, a fringe that will not flow, or a routine that takes too long. A useful consultation connects the visible shape to the time, tools and products you actually use.

Service and booking guide

The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit price of AUD120. It includes consultation, haircut, shampoo and scalp cleanse, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Haircut pricing does not change by hairstyle; detailed clipper line art may cost extra. If straight, coarse or dense hair resists movement or pushes out at the sides, ask whether an iron perm or another Japanese men's perm approach is suitable. Perm services start from AUD250 including haircut and shaving, with a 60-minute booking guide. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair. Technique and current availability must be confirmed at consultation.

For a Sydney CBD appointment, allow enough time to reach Suite 5 on Level 1 of the Dymocks Building, 428 George Street. The location is convenient for people planning a visit around Town Hall, George Street or the central business district, but use the complete suite and floor details rather than relying only on a “near me” result.
