Hot Towel Shave Sydney CBD: Keeping a Simple Record of Your Beard Routine
Ryunosuke Kano

If you use several beard products, it can be difficult to remember which stage creates the finish you like. Before a hot towel shave, make a short note of the order you normally follow. Include washing, drying, combing and any final product rather than listing only brand names.

A practical question to answer before the service

Ask the barber which part of that routine is relevant to the appearance you want to maintain. You can then try changing one action at a time instead of replacing everything together. This makes your own observations easier to interpret. A simple record is also useful at a future appointment because you can explain what you actually tried, rather than relying on a general impression that the beard behaved differently.

Bring one or two reference photos and explain what is difficult on a normal workday: straight hair that does not move, sides that expand, a flat top, a fringe that will not flow, or a routine that takes too long. A useful consultation connects the visible shape to the time, tools and products you actually use.

Service and booking guide

Standalone facial shaving is AUD60. The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit price of AUD120, and includes consultation, haircut, shampoo and scalp cleanse, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Confirm the scope you want when booking.

For a Sydney CBD appointment, allow enough time to reach Suite 5 on Level 1 of the Dymocks Building, 428 George Street. The location is convenient for people planning a visit around Town Hall, George Street or the central business district, but use the complete suite and floor details rather than relying only on a “near me” result.
