Some people use a comb on their beard every morning; others use a brush only after washing. Explain which tool you use most before a hot towel shave or beard tidy. It gives the barber a clearer understanding of how you normally arrange the facial hair that remains.
A practical question to answer before the service
Ask whether the finishing demonstration can include that same kind of movement. You may notice that your tool creates a different degree of separation from the professional finish. This does not automatically mean you need to replace it. First decide which appearance you prefer and ask how to reach it consistently. A practical grooming conversation should begin with what you actually do, including the equipment already in your bathroom.
Bring one or two reference photos and explain what is difficult on a normal workday: straight hair that does not move, sides that expand, a flat top, a fringe that will not flow, or a routine that takes too long. A useful consultation connects the visible shape to the time, tools and products you actually use.
Service and booking guide
Standalone facial shaving is AUD60. The Signature Grooming Course is AUD150, with a first-visit price of AUD120, and includes consultation, haircut, shampoo and scalp cleanse, hot towel, Japanese facial shaving, shoulder and neck massage, and styling. Confirm the scope you want when booking.
For a Sydney CBD appointment, allow enough time to reach Suite 5 on Level 1 of the Dymocks Building, 428 George Street. The location is convenient for people planning a visit around Town Hall, George Street or the central business district, but use the complete suite and floor details rather than relying only on a “near me” result.
