Coarse Hair That Feels Straight After Drying: Sydney Iron Perm Discussion
Ryunosuke Kano

Some clients describe hair that moves while wet but becomes rigid or difficult to direct once dry. Show that dry behaviour before asking for a particular perm strength.

What to discuss

Explain the direction you want and the amount of visible curl you would accept. Ask Ryunosuke or Rika how the haircut and the proposed treatment would work together. An iron perm may be considered for suitable coarse hair when shape and easier daily styling are the goals, but the decision follows an assessment.

Plan your appointment

Tell the team about bleach, straightening and previous perms. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair. Request the drying sequence for the agreed finish, because a shape service still needs an understandable home routine. Confirm technique availability and the final quote before booking the course.

Perm courses start at AUD250 including haircut and shaving. Confirm the technique, suitability, quote and required time before booking. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair. Written by Ryunosuke Kano, HIROGINZA Sydney.
