Japanese Barber Sydney CBD: Requesting a Slower Consultation in English
Rika Kano

You can ask for a slower explanation before agreeing to a haircut or perm. Understanding the proposed change matters more than recognising every technical term on the menu.

What to discuss

Point to the part of the hair being discussed and ask the barber to show the intended length or direction. Confirm one decision at a time: what stays, what becomes shorter and what the final routine involves. A photograph is useful, but it does not replace agreement on these details.

Plan your appointment

If the service includes an iron perm, ask about suitability, treatment history, price and time in plain language. Ryunosuke and Rika both handle consultations. An iron perm is not recommended on bleached hair. Do not feel that selecting an appointment means every styling detail must already be settled before the conversation begins.

Signature Grooming is AUD150, with a first-visit option at AUD120. Confirm any additional services and the total before booking. Written by Rika Kano, HIROGINZA Sydney.
