Can You Keep a Straight Finish After an Iron Perm? Sydney Styling Choices
Ryunosuke Kano

Wanting easier direction does not necessarily mean wanting a visibly curly finish every day. Before an iron perm at HIROGINZA Sydney, describe how smooth or textured you want the final hairstyle to appear.

Define straight-looking carefully

A controlled bend, a swept fringe and a completely straight strand are different requests. Show the barber the outline you like and ask how much movement would remain visible. An iron perm changes the treated hair; it is not a switch that guarantees both a perfectly straight look and a curly look on demand.

Agree on a realistic alternative finish

Ask Ryunosuke or Rika whether the proposed cut can be worn with a smoother combed finish as well as a more separated finger-styled finish. Have both possibilities explained using your length and hair condition. If you only want an occasional change for a special day, discuss whether ordinary styling would be a more appropriate starting point.

See the drying method

The direction used while drying and the chosen product influence the appearance. Request a demonstration you can repeat, and say if you prefer to avoid a complicated morning routine. Do not book a stronger curl assuming product will always hide it.

Perm courses start at AUD250 including haircut and shaving. Confirm the requested technique and final quote before booking. Iron perms are not recommended on bleached hair.
