An easier morning and a completely maintenance-free hairstyle are different expectations. At HIROGINZA Sydney, we discuss an iron perm as a way to help suitable hair remember a shape, while keeping your daily routine part of the consultation.
Explain your actual time limit
Tell your barber whether you are prepared to blow-dry, use a comb or apply a styling product. A polished side part and a relaxed textured finish need different finishing choices. If you will only use your fingers in the morning, say so before agreeing to a photograph that depends on a more deliberate finish.
Learn the sequence, not just the product name
Ask for a demonstration of where the hair should be directed as it dries, followed by the product and quantity suited to your hair. Watch the fringe and both sides separately. If the shape looks right only after the barber makes several adjustments, ask to see those adjustments again. A useful result is one whose routine you understand.
Keep maintenance separate from a guarantee
For clients who cut their hair monthly, discussing another perm at every second haircut is a planning guide, not a fixed promise of how long the result lasts. Growth and the chosen cut change the appearance. Shampoo is allowed on the treatment day under our guidance, and we advise avoiding the sauna that day. Ryunosuke and Rika can both assess iron perm suitability; bleached hair is not recommended for this service. Confirm current availability before booking a perm course from AUD250, including haircut and shaving.
