An interview, a portrait session or an important dinner can make you wonder whether to book a haircut the day before. Start with how much you want to change your hair. There is no single number of days that works for everyone.

Company-produced haircut reference photo. It does not document a particular customer’s event or a service performed at the Taipei branch.
Keeping your usual style? Look back at a result you liked
If you are returning to a familiar length and shape, a photo taken after a previous haircut can help. Decide whether you prefer the freshly cut outline or the way it looks once it has grown a little. That gives you a clearer target for the event.
The same number of days will not always produce the same look. Let your barber assess your current length and intended shape, then discuss an appointment date with the event date in mind.
Making a bigger change? Leave time to try living with it
Going from longer hair to a short cut, or changing how you wear your fringe, can take some getting used to. If possible, leave time to handle the new shape at home. Liking a reference photo and feeling comfortable styling the result yourself are different experiences.
With enough time, you could try the new shape first and discuss whether any adjustment is needed before the event. Check whether another visit is necessary, including its cost and appointment availability. If the event is very close, refining a familiar shape is another option.
Booking for the same day? Include travel and changing time
Do not build your schedule around the haircut duration alone. Work backwards from when you need to reach the venue, allowing for travel and changing clothes. Tell the salon when you need to leave; whether that timing is workable depends on the selected services and appointment availability.
Mention face shaving and eyebrow grooming at booking if you want to include them. If a service is new to you, or you have any concerns, discussing it in advance makes planning easier than raising it for the first time immediately before an important event.
HIRO GINZA PREMIUM BARBER Taipei offers Japanese-style men’s grooming in private rooms. For hair and facial grooming in one visit, the full course includes face shaving and eyebrow grooming. The first-visit price is NT$2,520, with an estimated duration of about 60 minutes. New clients requesting Ryosuke Ito pay an additional NT$500 stylist-request fee. Confirm any extra services and your preferred departure time when booking.
