When Should You Book Your Next Haircut in Taipei? 3 Things to Track

Scissors and a comb used during a haircut

How often should you get a men's haircut? If you always wait until styling becomes difficult, a few notes about how your hair changes can help you plan. HIRO GINZA PREMIUM BARBER Taipei shares three things to track before your next appointment. The right interval depends on your length, preferred shape and styling routine; there is no fixed number of days that suits everyone.

The photo is a company-provided photograph of a haircut, used to illustrate the service.

1. Note the first area that starts bothering you

After washing and drying your hair, check whether your fringe gets in your eyes, the hair around your ears touches your glasses, or your neckline no longer looks the way you prefer. Record the date you first notice the change, as well as the date of your last haircut. Check whether it is a length issue or simply a difference in how you dried your hair that day. One difficult styling day does not necessarily mean you need everything cut shorter.

2. Compare photos and track your morning routine

Keep front, side and back photos after a haircut you like. Later, compare pictures taken at similar angles, in similar light and with dry hair. Add a quick note about styling products and how long your morning routine takes. Showing us “I liked this length” or “this part started sticking out later” gives us more useful detail than “the same as last time.”

3. Decide whether to maintain the shape or grow it out

If you want to maintain your current shape, use changes in the areas that bother you as a guide for planning your next visit. If you are growing your hair, tell us which sections you want to keep longer before the cut begins. Share when you last had it cut and what you want adjusted; the actual areas to trim should be discussed in person.

A useful way to explain it at your next visit

“I liked the result last time, but later the hair around my ears started touching my glasses. I want to grow the top, so could we discuss how to tidy the sides?” Before leaving, you can also ask which changes to watch for when deciding when to book again.
